Lifting user satisfaction 42% on CloudGuardia's cloud security platform

Overview

CloudGuardia is a cloud security company that protects digital infrastructure so that data stays secure, compliant and always available. The team came to delbueno Studio to raise the quality of the user experience across the whole platform and to give a complex security product an interface that meets the standards its users expect.

Development was handled in-house by CloudGuardia. Our work covered the UX and UI design, a thorough design process, and custom-made icons tailored to the brand.

The challenge

Advanced security features and everyday usability pull in different directions. The platform had to detect threats in real time while staying smooth and responsive, and it had to integrate with several cloud providers, which called for careful planning and a clean design handoff.

What we did

We started with extensive user research and detailed personas, then validated our designs through usability testing. From there we built:

• Interactive prototypes
• A design system and design kit for the in-house development team
• 40 custom icons and illustrations tailored to the CloudGuardia brand
• One unified experience across desktop and mobile, so users move between devices without relearning the product

Results

The redesigned platform is more intuitive and easier to trust. User satisfaction increased by 42%, and our design kit contributed to a 32% gain in development productivity. Validating the designs with real users also strengthened CloudGuardia's reputation as a leader in cloud security.
